Inflatable Park: Core HK, Tai Po

Sep 30, 2017

It is Saturday, it is not sunny but not raining and it is still hot and humid in Hong Kong. It is also more likely that you went to bed at 5am this morning, after one of those crazy evenings. And you don’t know what to do. I have one activity for you: inflatable park.

Some weeks ago, we decided to have some fun as kids would have and hired an Uber to drive 7 of us to Tai Po. The inflatable park is built on a lake, surrounded by a large hotel and restaurant, in antique-Italian style (yes, it is very surprising).

You have to buy some tickets beforehand (you have a discount if you buy online) or you can purchase them at the entrance. You’ll be provided with one bracelet and one life jacket but you have to rent a locker if you wish to secure your belongings while having fun. There are showers and bathroom next to the lake.

You basically spend one hour bouncing on inflatables, getting down slides, falling in the water, swinging out from a rope, etc. The water was warm but the water was quite cloudy and it was not super deep (I touched the bottom of the lake twice).

After this hour, we were quite tired but very happy, like children and we hired a Uber to come back to Central even if the good smell of wooden cooked pizzas coming from the restaurant was tempting.

You can also pay more and do some cable wake-boarding which is less fun than being pulled by a real speed-boat but has its fun.

Our group of the day: Marine V, Marine G, Baptiste, Marie (see her fashion portrait here),  Arnaud and Magali.
