Elodie, Hippy-Arty

As a designer in Hong Kong for one year, Elodie features her loose and arty style in a Vintage restaurant in Kowloon.

Beige headband, Intimissimi

Describe your style:

I like to wear comfy and quick to wear clothes: I love wearing jumpsuits and other loose clothing. I will avoid jeans and tight garment. I also wear mainly black or dark clothes, colours are not really my stuff for clothing.

Black pull-over, H&M

Your favourite fashion shop(s) and/or brand(s):

I don’t really have a favourite one as I like to mix up clothes, styles and inspirations. Lately, I put one of my father’s vintage jacket with a Zara dress, a scarf bought in Laos with a Celine bag. I am not brand loyal, I just have crushes. But if I had to choose I would say Zara and Monki for affordable brands and Alexander Wang, Carven and Marc Jacobs for more luxury brands.

Your dream-outfit or fashion accessory:

A long and ample white dress such as the one of Zoé Kravitz during a certain event that I can’t recall now (but I think it was a Calvin Klein). Very hippy but super classy at the same time. I may sew one for Christmas.

Black Denim Jacket, Monki

Your favourite outfit at the moment:

My long and simple black jumpsuits. It is a little tighten at waist and has small straps. It is very comfortable, and I always put my Converse sneakers with it.

Striped jumpsuit, bought in a Thai market

Something you will never wear:

Leopard pattern. Actually, I could wear it … for carnival.

Your beauty secret:

I almost always draw a thick line of black eye-liner to create a shadow on my eyelids.

Your favourite restaurant in Hong Kong?

a Chinese restaurant on Bute Street, special mention to their butter brioche.

Your favourite destination in Asia and your best souvenir there:

I enjoyed the Thai food but I really loved Vietnam with people being so nice and caring. My best souvenir there was when I started playing with a bouncing ball with feathers in a park and children came to play with us. We couldn’t understand each other but we had so much fun!

Your favourite place in Hong Kong?

Urban Coffee Roaster, I have good memories here, I like to come at this table, take a coffee, remove shoes and read a book or work with my laptop.

Red jumpsuits, Daphnea

Special question: If you don’t know what to wear, you choose …?

a jumpsuit! I think I brought 10 jumpsuits when I moved to Hong Kong and few of other clothes. Even my pyjamas are jumpsuits.
