December 2017: Chic Winter
Hi everyone and wish you a Merry Christmas! This post is dedicated to a winter outfit more than a Christmas one (even with all these Christmas decorations…). With the cold coming to Hong Kong, how can you display your favourite and seasonal clothes without catching a cold? Here are my suggestions.
One of my favourite pairings is to wear a leather skirt with a big and comfortable oversized pull-over. The sleek and cold style of the first contrasting with the warmth and fluffy touch of the other. But the other day, I just put an oversized shirt, quite casual with my black skirt, and I think the result is not that bad.
We’ve been to Coffee Academics for the first time, in Wan Chai, just one street behind our flat. The place is very welcoming and with the cold temperature of HK, we treated ourselves to delicious hot chocolate. They have specials coffees coming from exotics places and the café has a look of #NYcoffees, with arty people reading or designing there. There is even a small outside corner for the good days.
Of course, as it is cold, prefer black simple tights or with some patterns on them (polka dots for example). To go outside, a trench or a warmer coat will be good choices, depending on the temperature and/or the style you want to have. Last Sunday when we did this photo shooting I chose my dark beige trench and a big black scarf to keep me warm.
To add to the casual style and #break with the strict look of the leather skirt, I was wearing black patent derbies without hills and my favourite black bucket bag, convenient if you want to keep your hands in your pocket when it is cold.
I hope you like this outfit. Tell me what you think and meanwhile, I wish you a Merry Christmas again and all the best for the new year to come.
